Stanley’s Lane will be closed to through traffic on Dec. 17, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow for tree pruning.
Lane reductions and delays will occur Saturday, December 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Portugal Cove Road (west bound), near/at the intersection with Major's Path.
Waterford Bridge Road (from Bay Bulls Road to Cowan Avenue) will be closed Dec. 13, 4:30 to 6 p.m. to accommodate the Holiday Lights at Bowring Park Event.
Linegar Avenue and Dillon Crescent will be closed Dec. 14 from 1 to 2 p.m. to facilitate the Shea Heights Christmas Parade.
Due to weather-related delays this week, the closure of the Shared-Use Path in Kelly’s Brook Park near Hoyles Avenue — including the trail connection to Hoyles Avenue — has been extended.
Contractors may be working on numerous streets from December 8 to 12 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs.
Motorists are advised that the following road closures will be in effect to facilitate The Goulds Lions Club Christmas Parade.

Motorists are advised that Waterford Bridge Road (from Cowan Avenue to Bay Bulls Road) will be closed to accommodate the Holiday Lights at Bowring Park Event. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Surveys have now been distributed to households on streets that participated in the 2025 temporary speed cushion trial, residents of these streets are being asked to provide feedback on the project.
To facilitate preparatory work for the Water Street Brick Sewer Rehabilitation Project, possible lane reductions will be in place as well as occasional loss of parking spaces Monday, December 1 to Friday, December 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
