Immediate Road Closure - Waterford Bridge Road (from Water Street/Topsail Road to Road de Luxe)
Motorists are advised of the immediate closure of Waterford Bridge Road from the Water Street/Topsail Road intersection to Road De Luxe. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
Pedestrian-Only Zone in Quidi Vidi Village Starts on June 23The City of St. John’s is implementing a pedestrian-only zone in Quidi Vidi Village during weekends (Friday to Sunday) this summer, starting June 23 until September 4.
Road Closures / Parking Restrictions - Tely 10 Road RaceThe Tely 10 Road Race will take place Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 8 a.m.
Road Closure - Outer Ring RoadThe Outer Ring Road Eastbound Lanes from Portugal Cove Road South turn off to Torbay Road Exit is closed due to a spill on the highway. All traffic will be diverted to Portugal Cove Road South exit.
Street Closure extended - Springdale Street (between Water Street and George Street West)Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be remain closed from June 16 to 23 at 5:00 p.m.
Street Rehab - June 19 to 23Contractors may be working on the following streets from June 19 to 23 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation.
Crosswalk Improvements: Military RoadTwo crosswalk improvement projects will take place on Military Road to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility at Bannerman Street and Carew Street.
- A new crosswalk with flashers will be installed at Military Road and Bannerman Street.
Lane Reduction: Kenmount Road June 13, 2023There will be a lane reduction on Kenmount Road for eastbound lanes from Wyatt Boulevard to 479 Kenmount Road for a two week period Monday to Friday beginning Tuesday, June 13 to Friday, June 23, 2023 from 9 a.m.
Lane Reductions/Closures - Elizabeth Avenue at Churchill SquareMotorists are advised there will be lane reductions/closures in place from 9:00 a.m.
